This book is a life-changer. You absolutely CAN change the way you feel by taking control of your thoughts. I did. You can. It's a process. Every crossover is a victory. Do yourself a favor if you've been searching for a way out of the blues, or general dissatisfaction or fear. By the way, I am an evangelical and I find NOTHING in the wisdom of Abraham that conflicts with my faith. I had concerns about this. No longer. I was expecting more given the overwhelmingly positive views. The book's organization is all over the place and includes conversations with a character named "Abraham" (a sort of collective unconscious source, I gather). It contains such random topics as "how to attract the right business partner." Not helpful to me personally. Also, it seems to suggest that if you're having problems in your relationship just switching your thoughts to more loving thoughts about your partner is going to fix that. Not so if your partner is controlling, abusive, or personality disordered--no amount of wishful thinking is going to fix that. With that said, there are some nuggets of wisdom in there, but you have to dig to find them.
